any opinions on a bareboat charter in tahiti or fiji in the month of march?[weather, costs etc]

Best bet is to buy some owners time here from Sunsail or Moorings out of Tahiti. At least 2 weeks b/c it's so far! 30 hrs from VA to get to the boat. It's an awesome adventure and Huahine is the best for local flavor & real island folk ~ most other islands are way too touristy, but a must see. The sailing between islands is fabulous but motoring once inside the motus is about all you can expect.
