D.A.: Lawyer offered price break for sex

PAULS VALLEY, Okla., Feb. 5 (UPI) -- An Oklahoma lawyer allegedly offered a client a price break in exchange for sexual favors or nude pictures of her teenage daughters, investigators said.

Jeremy Oliver, 33, of Wynnewood was arrested Monday and his home was searched, the Garvin County Sheriff's Office said. Sheriff Larry Rhodes said Oliver faces several charges including soliciting sexual conduct or communication with minor by use of technology, a felony.

The client involved has two daughters ages 18 and 13.

"From evidence at the residence, there is a real possibility there may other victims," Rhodes said.

The investigation began several weeks ago. Investigators were with Oliver's client Sunday when he sent text messages allegedly offering to take $1,000 off his bill "for sexual favors and/or nude pictures of the 18-year-old daughter," The Oklahoman reported. The price for her 13-year-old daughter was $500.

Oliver is also alleged to have solicited sex from the mother.

In addition to the pornography, investigators said they found marijuana in Oliver's home. He was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

The website for Oliver's law practice indicates the firm provides assistance to "clients who need vigorous Criminal Defense; Native American Issues and Family Law representation."

His profile at the LinkedIn networking website identifies him as "Attorney General Cheyenne/Arapaho Nation; General Counsel Caddo Nation-Oklahoma."

I couldn't be more ashamed of Chairman Edwards' choices. I hope none of our tribal members suffered because of her decision to involve the tribe with someone of this caliber.

I hope the Tribal Administration takes a moment to investigate his behavior with our tribal members. That's the only responsible course of action. I also hope there is efforts made to repair any damages done.

Clearly no investigation was done prior to allowing him access to our tribe since he had been fired from the CnA tribe for theft and had warrants out for his arrest BEFORE Chairman Edwards hired him.

Believe Jen, the Caddo people should know what kind of people the Chairman Brenda Edwards Sheymayme has hired to work for the Caddo Nation. Worse yet, it is out to the world that he works for the Caddo Nation.

NOOOOOOOOO, he works for Brenda Edwards. Have been hearing "the Chair" has been trying to wiggle it around and say the five legal Council Members who don't meet with her and her crew, owe money, think it is to this attorney. SAYING RIGHT HERE, WE DON'T HIRE TRASH.

Understand her tinking is "if we owe money we cannot run for office". Mr. Edwards, get real, your money is cut off, or will be.

Heard they were meeting this Thursday. Please don't tell me she is still planning on meeting with him Thursday. Maybe.....Gonna have to look at the money she and crew have paid Mr. Oliver and take it out of their salaries, whatever they have coming when the time comes.........
