Deep rooted former employees

Have been thinking about the last 15 to 20 years and have realized there have been at least two employees who have been deeply involved in both the LaRue Parker and Brenda Edwards administrations, that being Gina Sage and Audra Alldredge.

The Caddo Nation had a Smoke Shop that Delita Butler struggled with and worked at to the point it finally came out of the red and was doing well, until she left employment with the Tribe and Brenda Smith was then involved in money being brought to her each day or at least at the end of the week. My understanding was for the most part this money was kept in her desk for periods of time. Yes, the Smoke Shop finally failed.

Audra, involved in Finance was over the money brought in. The Caddo Nation, under Ms. Parker had a small Casino which basically took in approximately a million dollars or more. The Casino went down, as far as I know the Tribe never seen any of the money and when "this" (current) Council got in office they found there was not one record to show the Casino ever existed.

Gina Sage came to work for the Caddo Tribe as basically the front desk clerk when Ms. Parker was elected Chairman. She was aware of both the Smoke Shop and Casino failures. She held several jobs and finally went to work in the Education Department as LaVonna Weller's assistant (clerk) whatever. My understanding was she was letting out confidential information and was written up by Ms. Weller and finally terminated by Ms. Weller. At this point, Ms. Parker terminated Ms. Weller and put Gina in as Education Director, in an office next to her office. Joy Martin, the Head of Education in OKC became aware of the situation and put a halt to it. Understand at that time, don't know about now, Ms. Sage did not have a high school Diploma or her GED. LaRue then put Ms. Sage as her Executive Assistant in the office next to her. Ms. Sage worked at this position until it was Ms. Parkers last few months as Chairman, Ms. Sage then began to feed Brenda Edwards information knowing Ms. Edwards was going to run for Chairman, basically cutting Ms. Parkers throat at every turn.

Ms. Edwards became Chairman and Gina Sage continued to do her clerk work at the Administrative Assistant's salary. She was then given the job of looking at applications for hiring to determine who would be hired, forget the title, Human Resources, whatever. My opinion, this was a laugh, no high school diploma, no GED, basically no experience except as a clerk. But, the raise in salary was good.

Basically it was the blind leading the blind, picking and choosing who they would help or let in the building. That almighty dollar appeared to be their main goal. Keep it coming. Jim Edwards, Brenda's husband, believe was the highest paid employee. When he was hired it was suppose to be temporary. Forget that.

NEVER HAD THEY, BRENDA, JIM OR GINA MADE SUCH GOOD MONEY AND BELIEVE THAT IS WHY THEY CONTINUED TO PAY THE FIFTY SOME EMPLOYEES FOR NINE (9) MONTHS WITHOUT WORKING (Per the Constitution, business or work will take place at the Caddo Complex). They could not pay themselves without paying the other employees. Do not know the exact amount of money that Brenda and Elouise Harjo took out of the bank or drew down from programs over this 9 - 9 1/2 months but would bet it did not all get deposited in a bank or the bank. Time will tell and hope they get what they deserve. Believe it will happen. And again Audra Alldredge was involved in or aware of all of the above. She had to make the drawdowns, she was the Finance person.

Enough for now.....

You are so full of ****, no truth comes out of your mouth, your a snake.

Re: Deep rooted former employees

I say they all need to go. We thought things would be better under Cotter but he is just as bad as Brenda. Birds of a feather flock together. If anyone has Cotter's recorded confession, please post it ahain so people can hear it for themselves. I dont know why it was taken down fron facebook but the caddo people have a right to know about what he did.

Re: Deep rooted former employees

Concerned Member, definitely agree with you. Barbara, don't know you unless you were our Education Director at one time and don't think you want us to go into that episode.

As far as Anthony Cotter. Was gonna vote for him, but Dale Butler ran for Chairman and voted for him. Do not know a more honest hard working man than Dale Butler. Yes, those Butler's are my family and Yes, they made a big mistake which turned Brenda Edwards loose to run rampant over all who did not agree with her or who wanted to do what was right for the Caddo Nation. The Butler's believed Brenda Edwards, Diana Woodward and Carla Guy, also Connie Carey (my sister) and Marie Nestell (my sister). They were all fooled and did what they thought was right at the time. They have since learned differently. Marie and Connie still come up with questions and assume they think they are right in doing so. But the Butler Family are not crooked, nor do they steal. If they understand, they, without hesitation do what is right.

Now back to Anthony Cotter. Yes, he and Doreen worked hard at getting signatures for Brenda's recall, that much I give him. I also knew he had not been involved in any Tribal stuff as far as I knew and assumed he was at this point wanting to do all he could for the Caddo Nation. My opinion, based on what he has done or not done has changed.

At this point, it seems Mr. Cotter came to this area to run for Chairman because of the salary the two former Chairman received. What Mr. Cotter did not and does not seem to understand is the Membership and Council, who are also Members had watched the two former Chairman receive $20 an hour to do nothing more than draw a salary and that wasn't going to happen again. He got a trailer from the Caddo Nation, recently understand Brenda gave him a hard time, had not heard that before. And his Dad left him some land to put the trailer on and as Chairman he planned on getting $20 an hour. The latter, $20 an hour was never going to happen initially, regardless of what Mr. Cotter says. THAT WAS NEVER PROMISED TO HIM, SIMPLY SOMETHING HE THOUGHT HE DESERVED, WITH THE TITLE OF CHAIRMAN.

Now back to the $1100 Mr. Cotter basically paid himself. No other Council Member agreed that he would be paid either $15 an hour or $20 an hour. It was voted by the Council, as stated in the Charter the Council would set the pay for Council Members, that each of the eight (8) Council Members, regardless of title would received $100 for meetings. As I understand it, Mr. Cotter had asked the Acting Business Manager to cut him a check for back pay at $2.50 for 440 hours and she told him not without something signed by the Council. He then caught her out of the office and asked the Housing Clerk to cut the check, she told him she did not know where the checks were. He looked until he found them and had her to cut the check. He took that check to Delita Butler, the Treasurer to sign. She both assumed the rest of the Council said okay and that Phillip Smith, the Acting Chairman the BIA recognized, per the Constitution, would be the second signature on the check. Didn't happen. Mr. Cotter signed his name to the check. It was not until the check cleared the bank that the other Council found out he signed the check instead of taking it to Mr. Smith. Understand he talked to Cristine Noah about $15 an hour and she told him we did not have the money and to Jennifer Reeder who said she would go with whatever the majority of the Council wanted. He talked to no other Council Member about this. He just did it.

Yes, I did tell Mr. Cotter he embezzled this money, steal, embezzle, whatever, THIS ACT MR. COTTER DID ON HIS OWN. I did suggest to him since he said they were doing so well working for the Choctaws maybe they should go back there, stay with a friend until they could get them a place, rent their trailer out until they could do otherwise, etc. Those were suggestions since they couldn't seem to make it here. When the Council confronted him about the illegal $1100 check, I am told he told them he was about to lose his cars, his wife was gonna leave him, he had no groceries, he couldn't pay his bills, etc. At a Council meeting, I was present, his Aunt Sarah asked the Council why they didn't buy them, he and Doreen, groceries. How about that one!!! WELL, MR. AND MS. COTTER, WHY DIDN'T YOU GO TO WORK? We all have times when we could use more money, we do not take what is not ours.
