Why does every leader we get take from us? In the last year alone we have had 3 take anywhere from $1200 to over a million and there has only been 1 arrest. I have learned that this situation with Smith has caused the DA to finally look into the $1200 unauthorized check and the additional $1700 that was scammed from a tribal member by Cotter -and- there is a current federal investigation going on with Edwards because some have been interviewed and asked to turn over financial records but are we ever going to get the money back? No, not unless they are ALL bonded or have the ability to pay it back. The only one that I'm aware of who is bonded is Edwards and it could be a year before the federal investigation is concluded into her financial activities and major purchases with Caddo money. We need to pick better leaders to represent the Caddo Nation.
