Can a DAS Server Improve Performance for Video Editing or Large Database Applications?

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m curious if a DAS server can improve performance for tasks like video editing or handling large databases. Since both require fast and reliable storage, would a DAS server be a better choice than external hard drives or NAS?

Here are a few things I’m wondering:

Speed: Does a DAS server provide faster data transfer for video editing or large database operations?

Capacity: Is DAS storage enough for handling large files or databases without slowing down?

Reliability: Are DAS servers more reliable for continuous heavy usage, like video editing or database queries?

Has anyone here used a DAS server for these tasks? Did it make a noticeable difference?

Looking forward to your thoughts!
