What’s the best way to approach SEO for a Toronto business?

I’m curious to hear how other business owners are approaching SEO in Toronto. It seems like the competition can be pretty intense, especially when you’re trying to rank for services that already have a lot of established companies showing up in Google.

I’ve seen people recommend publishing lots of blog posts, while others say local SEO, reviews, and Google Business Profile optimization should come first. Then there’s the technical side of things, such as improving page speed, fixing indexing issues, making the site easier to navigate, and making sure it works properly on mobile.

I’m currently comparing a few different approaches and would rather learn from people who have actually dealt with this than follow generic advice. If you’ve hired an SEO Toronto agency or handled the work yourself, what did you find was worth the effort?

Also, how long did it take before you noticed meaningful changes in traffic or enquiries? I’m not expecting overnight results, but it would be helpful to know what a realistic timeline looks like and which metrics are actually worth paying attention to.

Would love to hear some experiences, including things that didn’t work. Sometimes knowing what to avoid is just as useful as knowing what to do.
