I'll have to second Melody's post--and her welcome as well ! He wasn't too keen on the role (on the other hand, considering some of the fare he *was* doing at the time (Pony Soldier anyone?), "The Robe" wouldn't have been half bad.

There is an article (or two?) in the Newspaper Article section, if memory serves but I can't for the life of me remember which one.

He woulda been great (and vise versa) with Liz, agree! Considering he was freelancing in the 50's, the possibiity was certainly there.

(He was slated to star with Ingrid Bergman on stage in the Spring of '59 and that would have been a pairing to see as well.)
