I used to live on The Croft, South Ruislip, and the murder happened at the end of the alley at the end of our road, which led onto Victoria Road. When I came home from school there were white tents and lots of police, my parents told us what happened. I was about 11-12 at the time. All residents on our street were questioned, and I recall the rumour that it was a US serviceman under suspicion.
