Karen has been such an inspiration to me. I\'ve learned so much from working with her and from observing her advocacy. I especially appreciate her encouragement and willingness to share her incredible knowledge about pensions and policy. We\'re truly going to miss Karen, but all of us here at PAC will remain inspired by her and by her legacy. |

On behalf of the Association of BellTel Retirees, I send our most sad condolences on the passing of your dear friend and warrior for all retirees, Karen Ferguson. We share your loss and your deep grief. Our board director, Tommy Steed, recently wrote, \"Karen was the present day embodiment of Joan of Arc. She protected all of us.\" We hope and trust this simple statement clearly and loudly expresses our appreciation and acknowledgement to Karen, her family & friends, and to her life\'s work. May Karen rest easy and may your heavy heart soon be lightened. In solidarity, Una Kelly - Treasurer, Association of BellTel Retirees, Inc. |

Karen / Norman & Staff at PRC From the first days that we went to Washington DC and met you and K 1 she was a inspiration and mentor to all of us from Wisconsin and all the Committees. The times that I talked to K1 was how to develop our skills on talking to politicians. Don’t be abrasive but firm. Stick to the facts. Many things she said would help and they did. The strategy meeting before hearings and visiting politicians. She will be truly missed by many. K1 , K2 and Norman and all of the Pension Rights Staff we in Wisconsin are forever thankful. From the very first time Joellen came to our meeting in Milwaukee to all the meetings after. We can’t thank you all enough. Thanks again Respectfully Bernie and Kim Anderson Bob Amsden Ken Stribling |

I started with the Mid-America Pension Rights Project in 2010, so I am only able to read about Karen\'s past accomplishments within the pension world. Since that time, I have experienced Karen\'s compassion in this area of the law on numerous occasions. Without her, the pension projects would not have existed, causing many of the working class to simply live without the pension that they earned. What a legacy! She will be greatly missed by the projects she guided and the people who are now receiving what they earned. |

As the Program Officer on almost all of RRF Foundation for Aging\'s grants to PRC, I had the privilege and honor of working with Karen Ferguson for more than three decades. Karen\'s brilliant mind was matched by her unique humility. She was forever patient in explaining the technicalities of pension law so that a non-expert could understand it and tenacious in advocating for the pension rights of retirees and workers. Thank you, Karen, for leaving PRC, your legacy, in the solid hands of Karen Friedman and the PRC team. Rest in Peace. Naomi Stanhaus RRF Foundation for Aging |

Karen was in a class by herself. My condolences to her family. Karen filled a real need in the pension world and created an organization that will live on and continue to fill that need. She has left an important legacy. May she rest in peace. |
