hello, looking for any information on my father.Sgt Gerry(gerald) Reeves
who served with the royal pioneer corp in suez from 1951-53 my family
where billoted at 1704 kensington village fayid.I was born there in 1952
but my b/certificate states i was born at RAF wellington abyad,is this a
differant base? My mother was gladys and my brother and sister where
gerald and eleanor who would have been,12 and 10 at that time. Does
anybody remember them? I am the sole surving member of our family
and would appreciate any information on their time in suez. Thanks

My uncle, Ronald Ansell, was in the RASC from around 1950 until he was killed in an accident in August 1952. He is buried in the Fayid Cemetery. I know little about him or what he did, but I have a photo of him on a military motorbike. What does that make him? Does anyone remember him, and in particular, know the circumstances of his death? He was dark-skinned, being of New Zealand descent, and came from Kent. His number was T/19039862. I would love to know more about him.

I have tried before to contact anyone who was in the Canal Zone from 1951-53 serving in the RASC at El-Ballah in 34 Company B Platoon,most of our time was dock clearing from Port Said to many camps in the Canal Zone and also towing all sorts of vehicles from Tel El Kabir to the docks.Is there any one out there who remembers me I had a nick name called REV..
